Engagement
Health research can present complex ethical considerations where there are no easy ‘right or wrong’ answers. Working through these questions in a transparent way requires an inclusive approach that draws on expertise and viewpoints from across society – from the healthcare sector, to academia, to patients and the general public.
The National Office and the NRECs we support are committed to engaging with all of these groups in a spirit of partnership, to ensure that the decisions taken by NRECs reflect the wide range of experiences and insights present across Irish society.
